Miniature Paper Shoes with Serena Partridge
We were drawn into a world of haute couture, miniature accessories and flights of fancy by textile artist, Serena Partridge at our first workshop of 2013. Inspired by a local junk shop, Serena's first collection of miniature suitcases made a enchanting introduction to her work. Then came Marie Anionette-style shoes and gloves, whimsies of a by-gone era. It was such a joy to be able to study the work of an artist at close hand without the usual restrictions imposed by a gallery display.

Serena's work is currently on show at the Mercer Gallery in Harrogate as part of the All Dressed Up exhibition which runs until July 2013.
