Stitching with the Brownies

A few of us spent a couple of evenings stitching with Trinity Brownies who meet at the church on Westmorland Street in Skipton. We were invited along to run a workshop and so designed a little project for Mother's Day. We had various members who volunteered to help - mainly with rethreading needles! Here are just a small sample of the 36 little houses we made.

National Needlecraft Awards

We have such talented people in our branch. One of our members has been shortlisted for the National Needlecraft Awards. We have watched the progress of her lovely embroidery over the months. Fingers crossed Margaret! We all think you should win!

Tapestry weaving

We had a lovely day today tapestry weaving with one of our members Gail. She has produced some fabulous samples and we really enjoyed getting to grips with creating our designs.

It was one of our quietest workshops with much concentration! We made wedges and humps and were all very pleased with our efforts. How to finish off comes in a later session.
