The Beast from the East

What a carry on we've had with the weather recently; it's been pretty snowy and this weekend is turning out to be bitterly cold - a great excuse for staying in the warm and doing some stitching! Here's a selection of photos of snowy/sunny/wintry/spring-like Skipton over the last couple of weeks! The weather really is changeable at the moment, but I've enjoy taking pictures for inspiration for some textile art and embroidery.

I think most people participating in the 100 Hearts Project will have received their packs from the Guild by now - looking forward to seeing those when they're done.

It's going to be a busy meeting next week: we are starting another round of Travelling Books  because they have proved so popular. I'm really looking forward to seeing how our joint blackwork sampler is coming along for the Chair's Challenge. Those of us who took part in Gail's tapestry weaving workshop will be finishing off their little projects.

We're also running another All Age Workshop with will take place in The Hub at the Town Hall on April 7th - we have some lovely little projects for visitors to have a go at, watch this space for more details shortly. We've chosen to move the workshop into the new Hub at the Town Hall to hopefully catch a few more people who might drop in while passing.
